A Fairytale Place

Overlooking the Julian Alps, the iconic Assumption of Mary Pilgrimage Church was built on the ruins of a temple dedicated to the Slavic goddess of love, Zina. The island is reachable by a traditional boat called Pletna and is a dreamy place for a wedding. According to the custom, the groom has to silently carry his wife up to the steps of the charming island.
Created at the end of the Ice Age by the Bohinj glacier, the picture-perfect Bled Lake is ideal for activities like fishing, rowing and canoeing. Nature lovers should not miss Iglica Waterfall, a natural miracle on the Suha stream.

Lake bled exceeded our expectations.
Lake bled exceeded our expectations. We flew into Trieste airport and stayed the first night in Ljubljana which was really beautiful and we took the local bus €8 for 4 of us out to lake bled where we stayed for a further 3 nights there was so much to do and see with amazk g scenery and plenty of walking trails. We did the lap of the lake, climbed to the castle, boat trip to the Island, tour out to vintgar gorge (amazing) we also visited Bohinj Lake again €10 for 4 by bus. There are lots of other activities. If there were direct flights to Ljubljana we would all love to go back.

There are several options to visit. The castle, the lake. So many opprtunities to ski sports, walk in the forests. Waterfall, beautiful lakes not only the Bled one. Ojstrica is a good program, the best viewing point to the castle but be prepared a short via ferrata as well. Beautiful really.RichárdHungary - 10Scored 10

Wonderful, beautiful. But it was raining all the time, so we couldn´t see everything what we want. The small "island" on lake is perfect. Very recommended. And people are so friendly there....

Amazingly beautiful. So much to see. The boat trip was great. Walk up to castle was tough but so worth it. The blue color of the lake was breathtaking. One if the most beautiful places I have ever been to.

Fabulous apartment! Very clean and exactly as described. Would recommend as there is a grocery store across the road and not too far to the recommended pubs and dining. Great host meets you when you arrive plus the bonus of private parking. Thanks so much Cathy

Breakfast was amazing, they legit had everything to choose from, we were so full. It is a lovely family run place, the whole family were lovely and provided recommendations and directions when needed, they also helped my partner when he was sick with food poisoning from the Bled cake at lake bled, they gave us tea and fresh mint, they were so kind. they also had free bike hire! I got very big room with very comfortable bed. Breakfast is organized pretty good and you get can scrambles eggs done based on your order and not just heat up. Communication with House is easy and they respond on Booking.com pretty fast. I arrived to Bled pretty early, yet i was very lucky to be able to check-in ealier. We loved the outdoor adventure feel to the hotel. With our quality bikes rented onsite we explored the area. The breakfast and dinner buffets provided plenty of food and a good variety. Sitting outside was lovely in the morning. Kudos for the zero waste projects ongoing. The location is wonderful for access to Lake Bled and the city, especially with bikes.
