The rooms were beautiful made up. Private bungalows and we each had our own back porch to look over the rice fields and mountains. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The supper we had was the best food we have had in Vietnam.

Chien's Lodge was fantastic, clean, comfortable, top quality towels and linens. There was plenty of room, shelf to set your suitcase, hooks to hang stuff, lighting excellent, bathroom very cool, beautiful view of corn and rice growing just outside and mountains in the background. We ate dinner and breakfast, very tasty and good value. Nice quiet location but only about 350 km to the village if you wanted to walk. We read other reviews from people who said it was the best place they stayed in Vietnam, we agree. Owners are very friendly and welcoming.

Chien’s Lodge was BY FAR my most memorable stay, not only is the property and accommodations excellent, but Chien himself, a young man with 3 beautiful children. The best homestay we stayed at while on the Hai Giang Loop. Chien's lodge is new and modern and absolutely romantic. The rooms have stunning views on the Mountains . I loved the wooden bathtub. The food was very good and it says a lot because I am a picky eater. The place is owned by a small cue family, Chien and his wife and their kids with help from some staff and other family members, which makes is so homy and cozy. Their kids are absolutely adorable and they have also two great cats (Mama and daughter) the tiny one will not hesitate to climb into your lap and hide from the cold. If you want a great night sleep and some rest make sure you book with Chien.

Our bungalow was spacious, clean and bright. Huge windows with nice view, comfortable bed and sheets, lovely bathroom with wood bathtub. Our dinner was delicious, big portions and lots of variety for everyone. Highly recommend!

We loved everything! Comfy beds, heat and AC, great bathroom (although we did run out of hot water which seems to be a common experience in SEA), and clean. We loved the family style meal for dinner and chatting with other couples! Chien was an incredible host and we would absolutely stay here again.
