Vietnam finally implemented the long-awaited new Immigration laws.

1. Notable changes

Tourists can finally visit Vietnam for up to 90 days on a multiple entry visa.

Visa exemption period for Vietnam has been raised from 15 to 45 days.

All countries are now allowed to apply for the Vietnam e-Visa, compared to previous number of only 80.

2. How to apply

The old immigration portal is replaced by a new portal for applying for the Vietnam e-Visa.

Applying for a Vietnam e-Visa now requires more information in the application form than before, including dates of previous visits and possible overstay violations.

3. Vietnam e-Visa requirements

The basic requirements you need to meet before applying for a Vietnam e-Visa are: - Passport valid for at least 6 more months after arrival date with at least 2 blank pages - Photo of passport personal data page - Portrait photo of yourself (facing forward, no glasses, white background) - Ability to pay online with a credit or debit card
