After years of hard work publishing in-depth travel guides on the Shipped Away Travel Blog, we are honored to have received a nomination for the Best Travel Blog award in the first ever TBEX Travel Creator Awards.
Our main focus has always been to give first-hand travel tips based on our personal travels and thorough research, so our readers can have an even better experience traveling to the places we have traveled to. And we’re happy this has been recognized!

We got three additional nominations
In other news, Shipped Away has also been nominated for 3 additional awards for the TBEX Travel Creator Awards: Best Short Form Video, Best Long Form Video, and Best Collaboration.
This is a further recognition of our work, not only on the Shipped Away Travel Blog but also on social media channels where we publish content to inspire future travelers and provide insightful tips on how to travel best to places.
Best Long Form Video
We love documenting our experiences on YouTube, where we also focus on showcasing the destinations we visit. Although we can’t publish as many YouTube videos as we’d like, we absolutely love it. Arijana has always loved making videos, and we’re hoping to do more soon.
You can check our YouTube Channel to find videos about places like the stunning Similan Islands and Surin Islands and experiences like the Songkran Festival, a Ha Long Bay Cruise, or flying in a Hot Air Balloon in Cappadocia.
Best Short Form Video
Although we love long-form videos the most, especially since YouTube is the only place on the internet where we can monetize our videos, we still love doing short-form videos on Instagram and TikTok. We’ll talk about this more in another post, but coming from Croatia and Slovenia, no platform wants to give us a cut of the earnings from our (free) content (except YouTube!).
It’s hard to fit all our personal tips, recommendations, and information we usually put into travel guides into these shorter videos, but we’re definitely trying to find a way! So if you see a short form video about a destination on our social media channels, you can be sure there’s a detailed travel guide waiting for you on our travel blog.
Best Collaboration
Throughout the years, we’ve also worked with many wonderful businesses to promote travel products or services. We always work with trusted brands we have personally vetted and that provide real value to our readers and viewers. So we’re happy to have that recognized by getting nominated for the Best Collaboration.

Final thoughts
We love what we do, as the Shipped Away Travel Blog helped hundreds of thousands of travelers explore the destinations we have visited and loved most, like Thailand and Vietnam. And we’re excited to continue publishing great content.
In the past year, we have finally also had the chance to properly explore our home countries of Croatia and Slovenia, for which we’re publishing some of the best travel guides you can get, including local tips for the best experience.
We’re excited about the future and about helping even more travelers plan their trips so that they can have an even better time than we did!
