The main town of Hvar is the most popular place to stay on the island, and where you can find the largest number of great hotels and comfy apartments.
Since Hvar town is such a fun place to be, and with lots to see, it’s only right to choose a great hotel that will complement your visit.
Something to keep in mind before booking your stay in Hvar town is that the most popular accommodation type is apartments.
This doesn’t mean there aren’t great hotels and even resorts in the town, but 90% of tourists do actually stay in apartments. And there are some fantastic ones on offer!

1. Heritage Hotel Park
Right above Hvar town’s harbor, we recommend staying at the Heritage Hotel Park, a stunning, comfortable hotel.
Its premium location, with views of the harbor, gives you easy access to the marina, restaurants, bars, activities, and everything else you might need during your stay in Hvar.
2. Villa Nora
One of our favorite hotels in Hvar town is Villa Nora, a small hotel with big rooms in a perfect central location, serving a delicious homemade breakfast.
Just keep in mind that there are some stairs to reach your room, as going up stairs is part of Hvar life. 😀 However, the friendly staff is ready to help with your luggage, and can also meet you at the port/marina if you’re coming by ferry to Hvar town.
3. Heritage Hotel Dea
Another historic hotel in the heart of Hvar town, centrally located yet quiet, is Heritage Hotel Dea.
It’s the perfect place to base yourself while visiting Hvar. They serve a fantastic made-to-order breakfast, and the staff is ready to help with anything you might need to organize.
While the rooms are a bit on the smaller side, they are beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and comfortable.

Our recommendation for families and groups
For larger groups or families, we have to recommend Villa Bella Vista, an absolutely perfect choice that can accommodate up to 10 guests.
The hosts are fantastic, and the excellently equipped house with sea views has everything you would possibly need, including a private pool.
