Turkey

Turkey is the bridge between Asia and Europe and offers the best of both worlds. This country’s rich history and historical importance attract countless tourists every year. As a result, Istanbul, the economic and historical center, and Antalya, its tourism capital, are quickly rising amongst the world’s most visited cities.

You can find everything in Turkey, from the incredible Turquoise waters of the west Turkish coast to the spectacular landscape of Cappadocia, extraordinary natural phenomenons like Pamukkale and Lake Salda, and glorious mountain ranges of Kaçkar, Zagros, Taurus, and many others.

Turkey sits in the GMT+3 timezone and no longer moves the clock according to daylight savings. Turkish Lira is their currency, and they speak (mostly) Turkish.

The best time to visit Turkey is in the summertime. The weather is hot at this time of year, with temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees Celsius. The weather is perfect for exploring the many cultural sites, beaches, and outdoor events Turkey offers.

If you want to escape the crowds, you can also visit off-season and still enjoy pleasant weather. For example, we were in Turkey at the end of October, and we could still bathe in Antalya. Perfect.
